For web searches, Safari has a built-in search field. It’s near the upper-right corner of the Safari window, and has a magnifying glass icon. You can choose which search engine to use for your searches: Google, Yahoo!, or Bing.
Open Safari if it is not already open.
If you want to choose a different search engine, click the magnifying glass, and then choose the search engine you want.
To do a new search, type a word or phrase in the space next to the magnifying glass. As you type, a list of suggestions based on what you’ve typed so far appears. Press Return, or choose from the list.
To repeat a previous search, click the magnifying glass, and then choose from the list.
To see search results from multiple search engines, search using one of them, and then click the magnifying glass and choose another search engine from the menu.
