Make Safari your default web browser

Your default browser opens when you click links like the ones you see in email messages and other documents.

  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.

    2. Open Safari

  2. Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click General.

  3. Choose Safari from the “Default web browser” pop-up menu.

Some applications open webpages in a browser other than your default browser.
