If Safari doesn’t display webpage images

If pictures are missing, try reloading the webpage or changing Safari Appearance preferences.

Reload the webpage

In the Safari window, choose View > Reload Page, or click the Reload (curved arrow) button in the Safari toolbar.

Check your preferences

The option to display images may be turned off. To turn on webpage images:

  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.

  2. Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click Appearance.

  3. Select “Display images when the page opens.”

Try opening a different page

If images appear on other webpages, the problem may be limited to a particular page. Contact the owner of the website for assistance.

Check the Develop menu

If you are developing a website, open the Safari Develop menu and make sure that Disable Images is not selected.
