Keep Safari from saving selected user names and passwords

When you enter a user name and password for a website, Safari asks if you want to save the information. If you click Yes, Safari stores your user name and password for that website in a list, and then fills them in automatically the next time you visit that website.

If you like, you can tell Safari not to store user names and passwords for certain websites.

  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.

  2. Go to the website and enter your user name and password.

  3. When Safari asks if you to want to save the information, click Never or Not Now.

If you click “Never for this Website,” Safari adds the website to a list with a “never saved” designation.

If you clicked “Never for this Website” and wish to remove the website from the “never saved” list, you must delete the password information Safari stored.
