At the moment we only accept wedding dresses and prom dresses, so we will not list other products like accessories, etc.

There are many factors that influence the sale of your dress, such as size, style, price or location. If you do not sell the dress as fast as you would wish, we can offer you two suggestions:

- Reduce the price: By reducing the price of your dress you will have a better chance of selling it.

- Share it on social networks: If you share your dress on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Google+, the visits to your listing will multiply and thus your chances of selling it. To share your dress, you just have to go to your listing (you can access it through “My Account→My Listings“), and click on the social buttons you’ll find under your images.

We accept payments by credit / debit cards and PayPal.

All the payments are made through PayPal, even those made by credit card or debit card. Do not worry, you will be able to pay with your credit card or debit card through PayPal even if you don’t have an account with them.

The reason for making all the payments through PayPal is to offer the safest existing on-line payment method. In addition, Weddalia will not have access to the information of your credit / debit card.

Absolutely not. Once the cost of listing your dress is paid, you will not have to pay anything else. Ever. At Weddalia we do not like hidden costs or sales commissions.

Creating your listing to sell your wedding dress or prom dress is very easy and you will only need less than 5 minutes. Simply click in the section “Sell Your Dress” from the menu that appears above each page and follow the simple steps.

The professional photos of the day of your wedding or of the day of the celebration when you wore the dress are a good opportunity to show its full splendor. Buying a wedding dress is an emotional purchase, and to see photos of a radiant bride is a good way to catch the attention of the buyers.

At the very least, we recommend the following:

1. An aimge where the whole dress can be seen: so they can see its silhouette.
2. Close up photos to observe the details and the weaving.
3. Include photos of the unique or original elements of your dress.

To include clear and good resolution photos is very important because in this way buyers will see the photo gallery of your dress in more detail. You must own the copyright to the images you add to your listing.

Having your dress dry cleaned will help you to preserve it and will help it to be kept as beautiful as it was on the day you used it for the first time. We advise you to have your dress dry cleaned before publishing it at Weddalia.

Think of it as an investment that will help you sell your wedding dress or prom dress faster.

We will publish your dress on the web within a period of 24-48 hours, and you will be notified by e-mail as soon as we do it.

The reason is that we must examine the listings one by one, in order to preserve the good image of the site, avoiding false advertisements or listings that have nothing to do with wedding dresses or prom dresses.

To make a change in your listing follow these simple steps:

1. Log in to “My Accuont → My Listings“
2. Click on the Edit link of the listing you want to update
3. Make the changes you need and click the on the “Edit” button

You can edit your list as many times as you want, including changing the images, price, etc.

If a buyer likes your dress, she will send out the “Contact the Seller” form that will appear in your listing. At that moment, we will send you an e-mail from Weddalia (to the e-mail address you provided us when registering) where you will be able to see the purchaser’s data (her name, e-mail and phone) and the message she has written to you, so you can contact her directly.

Until then the buyer will not know your contact details (e-mail) because:

1. They are not published in your listing
2. The contact will be made exclusively through Weddalia

With this we avoid that your e-mail is picked up by spammers for fraudulent use, thus ensuring your privacy.

If you want to change the e-mail address to which our e-mails reach you or the e-mails of the buyers, click here.

To remove your listing follow these simple steps:

1. Log in to “My Account → My Listings“
2. Click on the Remove of the listing you want to remove
3. When we ask you Are you sure you want to remove your listing?, click on Accept

When removing a listing, it will be immediately removed from the web, and this step cannot be undone. The data of your listing and your suggestions may be used in any section of the web to help future sellers and buyers.

Once it is published your listing will never expire. It will only disappear from the web when you remove it.

Our home page (Home) is the one that receives the most visits at Weddalia, so the dresses featured in it have the most exposure.

The listings can appear on two different sections of the home page:

1. In Featured Dresses – We can see the featured dresses. The dresses that appear in this section are more likely to be sold quickly.
2. In Latest Wedding Dresses Listed – We can see the latest dresses listed, with the newest at the top.

If you want your dress to appear for free (with no extra charge) in the Featured Dresses section from the home page, follow the simple steps you will find once you list your dress.

Although Weddalia attracts thousands of future brides seeking their dress every month, you can attract more buyers and increase the chances of selling your dress faster in the following ways and all for free:

1. Your favorite wedding sites and forums: Do you remember all the sites and forums that you have visited and read while planning your wedding? With hundreds of future brides reading their articles and posts, they are good places to hang the link from your listing on Weddalia.
2. Share your listing in social networks: If you share your dress on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Google+, the visits to your ad will multiply and thus your chances of selling it. To share your dress, just go to your listing (you can access it through “My account→My Listings“), and click on the social buttons you’ll find under your images.
3. Make your dress featured on the home page: If you want your dress to appear in the Featured Dresses section of the home page, follow the simple steps you will find once you list your dress.

If possible, we recommend that you meet with the buyer in person so that she can inspect the dress and you can cash out, thus avoiding possible scams. If this is not possible, we recommend accepting payments via PayPal or directly a deposit account.

Regardless of the method you choose, never send the dress until you have received the full amount thereof.

That depends solely on you. If you’re not comfortable meeting with a buyer in person, explain it to her when she contacts you. Some buyers prefer the opportunity to try the dress on and others prefer to buy on-line without trying it on.

No. As with most sales of used products, you are not obliged to offer the possibility of returning the dress. This is especially true dealing with wedding dresses and prom dresses, since a buyer could use it during the weekend and then want to return it on Monday.

Some tips for an on-line safe sale:

1. Never send your dress before receiving the payment: Try to have the money in your account before any shipment. There are some scammers who make you believe that they made the payment by Paypal or bank transfer, and Paypal or the bank keeps the money until you do not send the product. Paypal and banks around the world do not work that way. Paypal payments work as bank payments: as soon as the payment is made you do should receive it in your account. So if someone tells you that he paid you by Paypal or bank transfer but Paypal or the bank retained the money until you send the product do not trust him: it’s a scam.
2. Be cautious of buyers from other countries different from your own and who write to you in another language: They have their own page in their language with the dresses published in their country.
3. Be careful if they ask you for the price: Don’t rely on the buyers that ask you for the price of your dress, because the price already appears in your listing.
4. Do not trust buyers that pay you more than your asking price: There are buyers who make you believe they paid a higher amount for your dress, and then they ask you to refund the difference. Ignore them: it is a scam, because they never made the first payment.
5. Use common sense: If something sounds too good to be true… Do not trust it.

And especially: Remember that to make a safe sale, you must NOT trust buyers who write to you in a language other than yours, or that speak it in a very bad way. Don’t trust buyers that ask you the price of the dress (since the price is already listed in the ad) or make you believe they have overpaid. Never trust buyers that make you think they paid an extra for transport fees, and then ask you to give them back those transport fees. There are some scammers who make you believe that they made the payment by Paypal or bank transfer, and Paypal or the bank keeps the money until you do not send the product. Paypal and banks around the world do not work that way. Never accept payments by Moneygram or by bank cheque. Never send your dress to another country different than yours. And never trust buyers that send you a transport company to pick up the dress without having seen it in person. The real buyer of a wedding dress will probably like to see the dress in person, and will pay you in cash, by bank transfer or Paypal.

The sellers you’ll find at Weddalia prefer to earn an extra income that helps them to recover some of what they paid for the wedding (or buy something new) than having a dress they will never use packaged in the closet, taking up valuable space.

Finding your perfect dress at Weddalia is very easy. Using the Advanced Search you will be able to search by size, colors, fabrics, shapes, prices, designers, location, etc.

Start by clicking on the Find a Dress section of the main menu that appears above on every page and use the search tools that will appear on the right.

From that same page, you will also be able to order the dresses alphabetically, by price, or by publication date.

We recommend you start your search locally, that way you will have the opportunity to try the dress on before buying it (as long as you agree with the seller to do so).

To find dresses near you, choose your location in the far right column of the Advanced Search.

Of course! Every time you see a dress you like you will be able to save it in My Favourites, so you can access them quickly every time you com to Weddalia.

To save a dress as favourite,just click Add to My Favourite Dresses that you’ll find on the listing.

To see all your favourite dresses, manage them or removed them, go to “My Account → My Favourites“ that you’ll find in the main menu at the top on every page.

To contact the seller, you must fill in the contact form that you will find in the listing, in the Contact the seller tab.

At that moment, we will send an e-mail to the seller with your details and your message so she can get in touch with you directly as soon as possible.

All of the dresses you’ll find at Weddalia are sold by women like you.

If you see a dress you like, simply:

1. Contact the seller
2. Agree on the final price
3. Meet her to inspect the dress (if you wish)
4. Pay the seller and take the dress home!

We recommend the sellers to try to meet the buyers so they can inspect and try the dress on, but that is a decision that belongs to the seller.

We recommend you contact the seller directly and ask her if she is willing to allow that.

The prices you’ll find at Weddalia are probably the lowest prices you’ll find for designers’ wedding dresses and prom dresses. That said, there may perhaps be a little room for negotiation with the seller, but that only depends on her.

Normally the shipping costs are borne by the buyer, and are added to the final price of the sale. Always ask the seller for the shipping costs because normally she will be the one to prepare it and choose the shipping company.

As often as possible, request that the shipment is made via a package company, in this way you will be able to follow the shipping and this will be covered by insurance.

If possible, we recommend that you meet with the seller in person so you can inspect the dress and pay cash, thus avoiding potential scams. If this is not possible, we recommend making payment through PayPal or bank transfer.
