Made for TV show, ‘ – T12

This is an unique opportunity to acquire a wedding dress that was used in the TV show, Him and Her.

This would be absolutely wonderful to have as your wedding dress, particularly if you are a fan of the show, the actress or TV memorabilia. Clearly, it would need to be altered but the base and detail are all in place already and its romantic background and previous history is unique. Alternatively, it would be great to own as a piece of TV nostalgia/memorabilia.

It is a lovely white/cream coloured material and consists of a train, corset, rose detailed embroidery, sequins and a rose neck wrap around. There are various clips, buttons and poppers. Please see the photographs as they provide the best description.

It is in good condition but certain areas need to be cleaned (e.g. dirt from where the hem and tail have had contact with the ground or spills). It may also have the odd minor blemish here or there – I have looked at the programme photos and videos and am pretty sure it is all complete.

I acquired it from the costume company that supplied the show for nostalgic reasons but I need the space now and want to move it on to a deserving home. Rather than sat in my collection, this is such a lovely and special dress that I would love for it to be worn again, but at a real wedding!! Perhaps you just want to collect it.

There is no size within the dress as it was made to fit the actress, Sarah Solemani, who has also acted in Bridget Jones’s Baby (Miranda) and Bad Education (Rosie Gulliver). She is of slim/average build, so I’m sure the dress could be adapted to fit most sizes.

As well as beautiful, the dress very heavy due to its quality and detail!

‘Him and Her’ was a UK sitcom, which was aired on BBC Three between 2010 and 2013. It won a BAFTA award. The show was about a lazy twenty-something couple, called Steve and Becky, who lived in London. The wedding scenes, which exhibit the wedding dress, are in season 4, episodes 3 and 4. The theme of the show was Boom Bang-a-Bang, which was sung by Lulu at the European Song Contest. Please see the videos and pictures on You Tube and on the Internet.
