Stunning antique lace

Stunning, antique lace wedding dress. This was a one off vintage piece I purchased in New York. It dates to the 1960′s replicating an edwardian lace dress with three quarter/long bell sleeves. It is constructed of stronger cotton lace and is light to wear. It has a handkerchief hem line. Only the sleeves could be removed or shortened due to the lace patterm. Ive put on weight due to becoming disabled so this is the reason for sale.

THis can be laundered and has been and is clean. It is a lovely deep dairy cream colour, For a bride seeking an alternative wedding dress. It has some stretch to the fabric so can easily fit a size 10/12 through to a size 18 or larger (with a smaller bust-less than size 40). Im a size 20 with 40 inch bust and it fits me. Im 5 ft 5 and is floor length. The bust area wont accommodate more then a size 38/40 bust but the rest of the dress has plenty of stretch due to being made on the bias and lots of fabric so many sizes. The shoulders are about 38 across. Due to the stretchy nature of the cotton mix, it is hard to give precise figures.

You can add a touch of colour simply by adding a white slip, baby blue pr pink or lavender slip underneath to highlight the lace and it give it a french provencale feel.

Keep the sleeves for a 70′s bohemian look or remove or shorten/tighten to create a 3/4 length edwardian sleeve. Lots of looks -perfect for a beach wedding due to its lightness/bohemian look.

i can easily post this signed for delivery as it is light in weight. If you do alter the sleeves I know a lady in France who can use the excess fabric to make you a matching pair of shoes.

The condition is immaculate. A few loose threads in places due to its knitted lace fabric. The fabric is a mix of cotton/stretch so some synthetic mix in there but more cotton than anything else. Deep rich dairy cream colour, This is a unique one of a kind dress, over 70 years old. It will retain it price easily and will easily resell or pass down generations as a family heirloom.
